Our story
Decades of hands-on STIHL experience, proudly serving Waihi and the surrounding area.
Our story began back in 1980, when Greg started working on STIHL chainsaws and trimmers at just 15 years old, after beginning an apprenticeship in the outdoor power equipment industry in Tauranga.
In 1991, he went on to establish Mower & Chainsaw Centre, building the business around quality products, reliable servicing and practical advice. In 2006, the business joined the STIHL SHOP group as STIHL SHOP Tauranga. Greg and his wife later purchased the Waihi store in 2013, and around 18 months later it became STIHL SHOP Waihi as it is known today.
With experience working with STIHL products dating back to 1980, our team has built up a huge amount of product and servicing knowledge over the years. We sell and service the full STIHL range and make sure we stay up to date as new products, battery technology and equipment are introduced.
